We have left sunny old Frinton behind and are now in South Moulton, Devon preparing for the start of the big ride tomorrow. Plan is to rise at leave at 4pm for the 3 hour car journey to Land's End then unload the bikes, take the relevent photos to prove that we are there and then set offf.
Riders for the first leg are Dave, Phill & Steve. Steve & his wife has kindly provided us with great hospitallity for two nights.

Professional spoon collector from Frinton on Sea
In celebration of Hand in Hand's 10 years as a registered of the charity, trustee Dave Garlick, along with Phill James will cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats in July 2008. We start this epic journey on the 18th July from Lands End, aiming to ride the 900+ miles in just nine days, travelling up the west side of the country.

The project that we are supporting
La Fuente has been running for 18 months, operating a bit like an after school project, where the children go to state school in the morning then come on to us at about 12:45.
We provide them with a nutrional lunch & then help them with their education/home work. We also try to vary the programme with the children doing craft, cooking, sport and computer work et
We have been trying to get a youth work off the ground, which we aim to kick start this again in August.
We are trying to raise funds to buy a new building and land for the project.
